Carolyn Ferrari a.k.a. Diamondancer was born and raised in Flint, Michigan.  She moved to the Detroit area in the summer of 1997 which is where the love affair with House Music began.  The club where the magic happened? – Club 246 on Madison Avenue.   She started writing poetry in 2002 and has self-published two books of poetry; “The Diner” and “Excuse Me, Did you say something?” as well as “Love Potion #33” which she co-wrote with her husband Joseph Ferrari.  She is also published in two anthologies and belongs to three poetry groups both in and outside of Detroit.

In 2002 she collaborated with DJ Minx (Women on Wax) for her first house track entitled “Got House?”   This was one of several tracks describing her feelings for and relationship with House Music.  In 2003 she wrote a poem called “A Message for the DJ” which was then produced as a house track by DJ Delano Smith (Mixmode/Beatdown Recordings).  Later that summer the record garnered the attention of   Jerome Derradji who released the record on his StillMusic label.  The remix by Jamie Odell a.k.a. Jimpster went on to be ranked as the number one house track in the country in December 2005(ACCORDING TO ……).  Also in 2003 she connected with DJ Disciple (NYC ) and the track “Gratuitous Sex Piece” was released in 2004 (Molacacho Records, Barcelona, Spain).

In 2005 Diamondancer was introduced to Neroli Records (Italy) and wrote “Just the way I Like It” for the album “Balance” due to be released in May 2006.  She also has a second project with Jimpster also released this year (2006) called “A Love Like This”.  “This is the second project from what I hope to be a long and wonderfully creative relationship with Jamie.  I think he is truly a musical genius.”

Diamondancer frequently performs at poetry readings and open mic sessions, and has also performed live with DJ Delano Smith at StillMusic’s “In the Dark” record release event.  She is currently writing her next collection of poetry for her first spoken-word album, and has projects pending with Singer/Producer Inohs Sivad.  “The sky is the limit for this poetic artist.  She has only just begun to speak”…
